Lose Weight Without Workout With The Shred Diet Meal Plan

shred diet meal plan

For the past several years, The shredder diet has swept the nation. For those of you not familiar with the diet, it’s a diet plan consisting of thirty days’ worth of mostly raw foods. During the first three days, the dieter will eat one pound of raw vegetables every day. On the fourth day, the dieter can eat one pound of cooked meat and oatmeal. And so on until the third day when the fruits and vegetables have been completely eliminated.

On days two and throughout the 30-day program, you will primarily eat vegetables. On day 3, you will add lean meats to your diet and oatmeal to make up for any loss of fruit and vegetable intake. By the end of the program, you’ll be surprised at how much better you feel and how much more energy you have!

Compared To Other Diets

So, how does The shredder diet compared to other diets? Do you have to cut out everything you love in order to lose weight? No! Although the food replacement portion of the program may limit your pasta, breads, crackers and other “junk foods”, it does not focus on any type of low carbohydrate diet and therefore makes it easy to stay full on the diet.

The 30-day shred diet meal plan consists of mostly raw foods. Raw vegetables are the most common vegetables used; however, avocados, banana peels, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, tofu, black beans and other “healthier” vegetables are also used. Meats are used sparingly and are mixed with raw or semi-raw vegetable protein (most often nuts or seeds). Low calorie and low fat dairy are also used as a base for the meal plan. Some fruits such as pineapple and strawberries are used for snacks throughout the day.

One Pound Of Meat For Each Thirty Day Period

The program suggests that you eat one pound of meat for each thirty day period. This amount is based on research on the amount of calories needed to lose weight. You can eat meats that are lean such as chicken, turkey and fish and also includes cooked vegetables such as zucchini, celery and asparagus. In addition, you should eat fruit such as apple, pineapple, lemon and avocado.

Many of the meals provided for the 30 meal plan are specific to weight loss. For instance, the first meal of the day is called the Big Easy, which contains grilled shrimp, grits, baked potato, salsa, chopped tomatoes and green chili. Another good choice for the first meal of the day is the Turkey Club which contains sliced turkey with two avacados and two cans of tomato soup. For dinner you can choose the Grilled Peanut Butter Ham with tuna salad and roasted baby tomatoes. This is followed by the 30-meal plan’s final meal of the day which is the Blueberry Cobbler which has roasted collard greens, blueberries and walnuts.

A Healthy Eating Plan

While many people may not think of losing weight without workout as a viable option, the shred diet meal plan can be beneficial if you combine it with a healthy eating plan. It can help you achieve your goals in a short period of time without having to sacrifice important nutrients. Also remember to add in plenty of fresh water to prevent from becoming dehydrated from exercising.

As the saying goes, any food can be eaten, but what matters most is what you put into your body. The shred diet meal plan provides a number of options for foods that can be eaten to shed fat.
