For this recipe, all you really need is just corn on the cob. Other than that, it is better if you have a barbecue or herb butter, and salt and pepper to taste. The main thing about this recipe is that you should not remove the corn from its husk. Now let’s take a look at the steps involved.

Directions

First, take the corn along with the husk. Remove just one outer layer of the husk and leave the rest intact. Most people remove shuck when grilling corn. But when you don’t remove the husk, it cooks the grains of the cork better. So it will make the corn very soft and tender, while still giving it the grilled, smoky flavor. But it is better to take off the first outer layer of the husk as it will provide a better texture to the corn. And it will also leave some grill marks on the corn. After all, any grilled dish is incomplete without a little bit of charred grilled marks.

Now the next step is to heat the grill to about 550 degrees Fahrenheit. If you don’t have a thermometer to measure the temperature, then that’s not a problem. Place your hand just a few inches above the grill. On doing so, if it’s hot enough that you can’t keep your hands for more than a second, then the grill is ready. After that, place the corn on the grill. Let it cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, while occasionally turning the corn on all sides. Once the husk becomes charred from all around, your corn is ready.

Serving

After your grilled corn is ready, finally, remove the husk and serve the corn on a plate. If you want, you can sprinkle some salt and pepper as per your preference. This dish tastes best with barbecue or herb butter. So in just a short time, and with minimal effort, you can prepare a perfectly yummy grilled corn on the cob. It will be a quick snack that you can enjoy without any hassle.
